GPs in Training

Our practice is approved to train fully qualified doctors who wish to specialise in general practice. Our GP registrar will have had 2-4 years of experience as a qualified hospital doctor working in various specialities. They will consult patients on their own, under the mentorship of our trainer, Dr Walker. Occasionally we ask permission to record / video a consultation. You will always be asked in advance and given the option not to take part which will not affect your care in any way. No recording will be taken without your consent and the camera will be switched off on request. These videos are used only for educational purposes with the doctor doing the consultation and are destroyed after use.

Our first GP trainee started with us in February 2025 and completed the assignment in August 2025.  It was a pleasure to accomodate her and we wish her well in her next assignment. 

Our new GP trainee has now started with us and will be running his own clinics from the end of August 2025.  He will be with us until this assignment ends in February 2026.  

Medical Students

Medical students are sometimes attached to the practice for 2 – 3 weeks as part of their training. If you do not wish a student to be present during your consultation, please inform the receptionist prior to your appointment beginning.
